Beaches by Location

Sitges has 17 beaches that span it’s coast

Unlike many resorts, relaxed wear, the gay friendly environment and natural parks, allow for varied beaches, where everyone is welcome but the atmospheres differ. Adding either a carefree freedom or rural feeling.

Town Center Beaches

Aiguadolç: Located east of the Aiguadolç Marina, in front of the Aiguadolç Marina development. It’s 145 meters long, an average of 20 meters wide, and offers all services.

Balmins: A beach formed by three small coves. Situated west of the Aiguadolç Marina, between the Marina and the town center, it’s 240 meters long and 20 meters wide. It offers all services, is adapted to the needs of the disabled and has the ISO 14.001 certificate and the SCTE tourism quality commitment. Many of its visitors practice nudism.

Sant Sebastià: Situated right in the center of town, in the heart of an old fishermen’s neighborhood. This is a family-oriented beach where many Sitgetans go. It’s 205 meters long and an average of 20 meters wide, offers all services, is adapted to the needs of people with limited mobility and is certified with the ISO 14.001 and the SCTE tourism quality commitment.

Fragata: Located right at the foot of the Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla Church. It could be considered a sports beach frequented by young people. Many different competitions are held here and it has volleyball nets and soccer fields. It’s 85 meters long and an average of 35 meters wide. It shares the area with the Yacht Club. There is no deck chair, awning or parasol service.

Ribera: This is one of the most popular, busiest and most cosmopolitan beaches thanks to its location, right in Sitges’ nerve center. It’s 260 meters long and an average of 36 meters wide, offers all services and is certified with the ISO 14.001 and the SCTE tourism quality commitment.

Bassa Rodona: A beach with a very unique atmosphere, frequented mainly by men. It’s 285 meters long and an average of 18 meters wide. It offers all services except food and drink stands.

Estanyol: A beach located opposite the Vinyet residential area and the Esplanade. It’s 365 meters long, an average of 20 meters wide, and offers all services. As a peculiarity, this summer you can listen to chill out music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 15:00 – 19:00.

Riera Xica: Also located opposite the Vinyet residential area. It’s 320 meters long, an average of 15 meters wide and offers all services.

Barra: A 390-meter long, 25 meter wide beach. Its peculiarity is that it has 4 small artificial islets created to protect the sand. It offers all services and is certified with the ISO 14.001 and the SCTE tourism quality commitment.

Terramar: A beach located opposite the Terramar area, a residential zone. It also has 4 islets to protect the sand. It’s 395 meters long, an average of 25 meters wide and offers all services.

Anquines: This is an artificial beach. It exists because the Hotel Terramar created it as a hotel service area in the 1920’s. Two crab-shaped breakwaters characteristically circle it so it’s well-protected from storms. It’s 160 meters long, an average of 50 meters wide and offers all services.

Western Beaches

Home Mort: A nudist beach, formed by the Home Mort (Dead Man) beach and the Roses beach. They are 110 and 165 meters long respectively and an average of 10 meters wide. This beach is accessed by a steep path surrounded by cliffs. It has a food and drink stand, parasol and deck chair services.

Desenrocada: A hard to access nudist beach. It’s 90 meters long, an average of 15 meters wide and has food and drink stand, parasol and deck chair services.
